Senior Project Contract Manager - Wind Energy

 

The Client

My client is an international leading consultancy in the field of renewable energy projects, with established offices across North America, Europe and the APAC. They employ over 200 members of staff and driving an extremely buoyant sector – the development of international offshore and onshore wind energy projects.

 

The Role

My client is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to support the continuous growth of their tender and contract management function: supporting clients who develop and operate wind and solar projects, to achieve the best possible return on an investment.

 

As Contract Manager your responsibility will be to provide contract management services and contractual advisory support international clients, such as:

 

  • Working as part of a project team, or reporting directly to the client, you will be responsible for contract and commercial management on intricate and varied renewable projects.
  • You will play a part in the development of procurement and contract management strategies, from drafting invitations to tender, leading tender processes, through to contract negotiations.
  • You will be responsible for contract administration, client correspondence, management and analysis of claims and variations, including dispute resolution; throughout the entire project lifecycle to project close.
  • You will provide expert advice and regular reporting to project teams on contract and commercial management matters.
  • Closing commercial and contract issues at project end
  • Other central areas of responsibility may include: Providing in-house legal advice (review of proposals, sales contracts and NDAs)

 

Your Profile

  • Relevantly Degree qualified e.g., Master of Science in Business Administration & Commercial Law, Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent from e.g., construction management or quantity surveying
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in the offshore wind industry
  • Knowledge of contract administration, and change management and claim management of contracts, based upon industry standard templates, such as FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC
  • Good understanding of construction terminology, progress calculation methods, programmes of work and project timelines
