Their Consultancy & Advisory Services team provides clients with outstanding technical expertise that enables the successful implementation of complex sustainability projects. Their expertise spans across multiple topics including land and water management, climate strategies, renewable energies, environmental impact assessments, green products, climate policy, carbon pricing, climate finance, and sustainable finance etc..

The Role:

The goal of the Senior Managing Consultant is to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality consultancy advice to DACH and international corporate clients on corporate renewable energy sourcing and sustainability topics. You will be fully accountable for the development and overall management of proposals and for the implementation of projects within the Renewable Energy Solutions practice, for which you will supervise project teams of varying sizes. You will provide technical guidance to the project teams and act as the main point of contact for the client. In addition, you may lead the development of new products and solutions to address sustainability challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow market share in Germany by winning new clients.

  • Manage and supervise large/complex consulting mandates throughout their entire project cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.

  • Interact and build relationships with DACH and international clients and manage the timely delivery of mandates.

  • Develop proposals with the Key Account Management team and regularly generate own leads, actively contributing to the business development activities of the company.

  • Provide guidance on and technical leadership in the development of proposals for the corporate sector on corporate renewable energy sourcing and implementation of advisory projects, as well as lead their technical review.

  • Lead and directly manage small teams of consultants in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies context.

  • Topics of engagement may include: Global corporate renewable energy sourcing strategies and roadmaps, renewable energy target setting (e.g. RE100), energy attribute certificates, green tariffs, corporate PPAs, on-site renewables, RE100 compliance and CDP/RE100 reporting, supply chain engagement.

The Individual:

  • Relevant knowledge of renewable energy sourcing challenges in multinational companies.

  • Relevant work experience in energy consulting or related fields.

  • Deep understanding of the European electricity market and the advisory in corporate PPAs.

  • Excellent project management skills, from both a technical and administrative standpoint, and proven ability to guide multinational project teams in a multi-stakeholder context.

  • Industry-relevant connections, with a network of potential DACH clients

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and German (desirable).

Desirable:

  • Experience in PPAs

  • Experience in the European energy attribute certificate and biomethane market.

  • Experience in renewable investments

  • Experience in onsite renewable appraisals

  • University degree, ideally at a Master’s level or higher, in a sustainability-related field. In Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Policy, Economics or sustainability/energy-related disciplines.
