Job description
The Client:
Join a leading independent sustainability consulting firm with a multi-national client base. As a small team, they are committed to helping develop a sustainable world. This firm design innovative, sustainable and energy efficient solutions, whilst helping clients achieve their sustainability ambitions. The successful candidate will join the team at a crucial stage of development and will be a significant contributor to the growth of the business.
Key responsibilities:
Help shape strategy for the services delivered to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the energy auditing / net zero consulting sector
Further enhance existing very strong client relationships and promote / develop new and existing services to clients
Responsible for design and delivery of net zero strategies, energy audits and reporting (e.g. SECR, ESOS etc.)
Coordination of frameworks and bids
Develop detailed Option Appraisals and Feasibility Studies with clients across a wide variety of sectors
Foster an environment of innovation, customer service and continuous improvement
Key Skills:
Excellent working knowledge and the ability to carry out design and development of net zero strategies, assessment of client operation and implementation of recommendations
High level Project Management skills and conversant with MS Project or similar PM software
Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within industrial and high-tech settings
Knowledge of Renewables: GSHP/Air/Water Source Heat Pump, Wind, Solar PV/battery
Understanding of optimisation and digitalisation, and smart technologies around building and manufacturing energy management
Strong knowledge of carbon foot-printing, life cycle analysis and energy modelling
Working knowledge of carbon accounting standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol etc.) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards such as PAS 2060
Knowledge of approaches to target setting including, for example, science-based target methodologies, CDP, climate related risk assessment and scenario analysis.
High level of commitment and an independent, conceptual working style
Ability to quickly understand complex problems and develop solutions
Superb written and oral communication skills
Willingness to keep abreast with developments in compliance and technology
Enjoys developing new concepts in collaborative environment
Willingness to travel/flexibility to work on a variety of international projects
Happy working in a consultative selling environment
