​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting our Client, a leading clean technology company, whose platform optimises & trades power across battery storage, EVs, demand-side response, hydrogen and smart buildings.

They seek a new Senior Commercial Analyst to join their growing Commercial team & strengthen their analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be technically astute & be highly competent in building Excel models. They will be organised & an excellent communicator, with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment. It is essential for this role to have experience in a similar position within the Energy Storage / Battery Storage (BESS) or Flexibility / DSR space.

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will:

• Build operational and financial models for new assets and markets

• Provide the business development team with expert analytical insight and support in client meetings

• Understand UK power market and policy trends and contribute to commercial strategy discussions

• Work closely with the data science team to advise on trading and optimisation strategies

• Prepare and collate commercial performance reporting for the management team

• Represent the business in the market through speaking engagements, industry events and other thought leadership activities.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial, analyst or consulting role (dependent on seniority) within the UK cleantech/renewable energy sector

• In depth knowledge of

  UK power markets

• Excellent analytical and technical skills; in particular

  Excel modelling skills

• The ability to present analysis in a clear and concise manner and to be comfortable defending your work

• Previous experience working in the Battery/Energy Storage space in an analytical/commercial capacity
