Senior Associate

Job description

​The Senior Associate, Project Finance, will support a team responsible for sourcing and structuring financing for EV projects, as well as executing strategic corporate initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating across internal and external teams to meet transaction deadlines. The individual will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, and market research to inform financing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution & Leadership

  • Support all aspects of financing transactions, including investor outreach, structuring, due diligence, and negotiation

  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of term sheets and transaction documents

  • Manage financial models for corporate and project-level transactions (e.g., asset-backed financing, securitizations, municipal leasing)

  • Coordinate data rooms and closing processes

  • Interface with investors, banks, infrastructure funds, and rating agencies

  • Manage external partners such as financial advisors and consultants

  • Prepare materials for internal investment approvals

Financial & Market Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis on new markets, competitors, and strategic opportunities

  • Evaluate emerging areas such as energy storage and vehicle-to-grid (V2G)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand key business drivers and model inputs

  • Analyze macroeconomic factors, including interest rates, tax policy, and industry trends

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support teams across functions, including FP&A, contracting, grants, and market strategy

  • Contribute to broader corporate development and strategic initiatives

Qualifications
  • ~3+ years of experience in structured finance, securitization/ABS, municipal finance, capital markets, or related fields

  • Background in investment banking, project finance, or similar environments preferred

  • Degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly

  • Ability to discuss prior transaction experience; financial modeling assessment may be required
