Job description

The Role:

  • Sales, Business Development and Proposals functions with technical site visits, technical reports, supplier appraisal and selection
  • Presenting technical and commercial solutions to customers
  • Representing the company at key events
  • Support key account & sales managers including product demonstrations
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed solution
  • Manage the trial process (pilot sites) and responsible for the delivery quality during the whole pilot phase, and alert of potential customer satisfaction threats,
  • Secures input from all necessary stakeholders within the company and adequate partners
  • Adapts solutions or select partners, as necessary, to ensure appropriate answers to the customer needs
  • Shares with key account sales manager assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines and/or market areas

The Individual: 

  • 3+ years business development experience
  • Excellent knowledge of solar technology
  • Awareness of the actors and influencers of the solar industry including technical advisors, software providers, asset managers, owners etc.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to present company's value to prospects, and be comfortable showing software solutions
  • Familiar with building a business case for the client
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages
