​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with one of the most revolutionary cleantech start-ups in Europe, striving to achieve net-zero through their Smart Energy Management software & BESS products – allowing SMEs to engage in the green energy transition, while also saving money!

Following PE-backing and impressive growth last year, our client is currently searching for a Commercial Sales Engineer, who will play an important role in the business’ continued success by bringing a technical knowledge of the UK energy market to the commercial team.

This individual will be joining the existing London office and will have several years’ experience in the renewables sphere (ideally with DERs like EV Charging or Energy Storage Systems/BESS) in a technical or engineering capacity - which they can bring into a commercial/sales environment.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of DER modelling software like Homer or PV Sol, with a strong analytical mindset.

Key responsibilities:

  • Using HOMER and other software tools to prepare technical and commercial solutions.

  • Liaise with the internationally-based technical team.

  • Prepare tender and proposal documentation, supporting Sales Managers.

  • Provide front-line assessment of commercial terms and contracts.

  • Support commercial negotiations with clients.

  • Guarantee correct hand-over to the delivery team after contract signature.

  • Own and update internal costing & pricing tools.

  • Own and update the standard offer templates.

  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure correct Forex rate is used for quotations.

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or background.

  • Experience in a technical, analytical, or engineering capacity within a renewables, energy, or cleantech business.

  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel - with an analytical mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of DERs (EV Charging, Energy Storage/BESS etc.).

  • Knowledge of DER modelling software’s like Homer or PV Sol, or similar.

  • Team player with an ability to go above and beyond.
