Sales Account Executive - Energy Consultancy
Job description
A growing energy consultancy is hiring an Energy Account Executive to join its direct sales team. This is a new business role focused on winning mid-market and enterprise customers. You will manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to signed contracts. There is no account management or renewals.
The role operates in a structured sales environment with defined target markets, leadership support, and CRM systems in place.
What you will be doing:
Generate new business through outbound activity, inbound leads, referrals, and events
Manage the full sales cycle (typical deal length 1–3 months, 2-year contracts)
Sell consultatively based on customer requirements
Engage decision makers across finance, operations, and sustainability
Attend events and networking to build a pipeline
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce
Requirements:
B2B new business sales experience
Experience selling to mid-market or enterprise customers
Comfortable with outbound sales and high activity levels
Able to manage multiple deals at once
Organised and commercially focused
Desirable:
Experience with structured sales methods (MEDDICC or similar)
Energy, utilities, or sustainability sector experience
Salesforce experience
