Sales Account Executive - Energy Consultancy

​A growing energy consultancy is hiring an Energy Account Executive to join its direct sales team. This is a new business role focused on winning mid-market and enterprise customers. You will manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to signed contracts. There is no account management or renewals.

The role operates in a structured sales environment with defined target markets, leadership support, and CRM systems in place.

What you will be doing:

  • Generate new business through outbound activity, inbound leads, referrals, and events

  • Manage the full sales cycle (typical deal length 1–3 months, 2-year contracts)

  • Sell consultatively based on customer requirements

  • Engage decision makers across finance, operations, and sustainability

  • Attend events and networking to build a pipeline

  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce

Requirements:
  • B2B new business sales experience

  • Experience selling to mid-market or enterprise customers

  • Comfortable with outbound sales and high activity levels

  • Able to manage multiple deals at once

  • Organised and commercially focused

Desirable:
  • Experience with structured sales methods (MEDDICC or similar)

  • Energy, utilities, or sustainability sector experience

  • Salesforce experience
