Job description

Summary:

 A leading renewable energy developer are seeking a Project Manager for their Central Melbourne based team. This role is to work on a specific upcoming Solar PV project that forms part of an impressive portfolio of projects for the company.

 As Project Manager you will responsible for driving the delivery of connection assets. You will have exceptional communication skills as you will be dealing with various stakeholders including NSPs, AEMO and the EPC. You will also have experience with the delivery of the large-scale solar PV projects in Australia including the grid connection works covering R1 modelling R2 testing.

 

Preconstruction responsibilities:

·                  provide practical inputs to scope of works, project delivery methodology and design

·                  provide technical advice and inputs to the development team

·                  support the preparation and management of the EPC contractor RFP processes

·                  assist in the preparation and negotiation of the EPC contract

·                  assist in the financial close process of projects

·                  review and critique connection agreements from NSPs

·                  preparation of construction management plans

 

Construction Management:

·        manage the owners engineer and site representative

·        review the contractor’s site progress, safety management, quality, environmental compliance

·        monitor adherence to the site management plans during construction

·        manage the design review process with the EPC contractor, NSP and owner’s engineer

·        review construction quality, inspection and test plans, site diaries and site documentation

·        review HSE plans and undertake site safety inspections

·        ensure contractor’s compliance with conditions of consent relevant to the construction phase

·        respond to technical RFIs from the contractor

·        manage the generator registration process with AEMO

·        manage the interface between the EPC contractor, NSP and AEMO during the R1 and R2 processes

·        liaise with landowners, community, local council stakeholders

·        monitor the satisfaction of the financial and legal obligations

·        develop and manage punch lists

·        prepare all weekly and monthly reports

 

Post construction:

·        Review completion of punch list items, manage project close out and handover to asset manager and undertake final inspection
