Job description
This is a great opportunity for a Project Development Manager to join a leading turn-key solar PV business and lead operations throughout Belgium.
The Opportunity
- Independently develop large-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects
- Identify and secure (through lease agreements or purchases) land in favourable locations
- Secure permits and licences for construction and operation of the projects
- Secure electricity network connections
- Apply for relevant subsidies
- Identify and acquire projects in development and/or establish partnerships
- Evaluate project strengths and risks
- Prepare investment proposals
- Report to senior management
- Create and monitor development budget and programs
- Report regarding project status, feasibility, project risks and budgets
The Individual
- Proven experience with project development, preferably with large-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects
- Understanding of technical and financial feasibility of projects
- Master or bachelor degree in a relevant area of expertise
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and preferably Dutch. Mastery of additional languages (French) is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible, creative and entrepreneurial, go-getter, positive attitude, performs under pressure
- Self-driven - performs well independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Able and willing to travel on a regular basis within Belgium and to European headquarters (in possession of driver’s license)
