Job description
The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a leading Cleantech company, who own, operate & optimise battery storage assets to help add flexibility to the grid.
They seek a new Project Development Manager to join their experienced & dynamic team, and to manage the development of battery energy storage projects across the UK.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. They will also be personable and driven, with the ability to keep calm when working under pressure. They will have the ability to work in multiple projects independently, as well as within a team setting.
Responsibilities Include:
To assess potential restrictions for development and highlight areas suitable for development
To manage the DNO or Grid-connection application, assessment, and acceptance process
To identify landowners with suitable land for battery energy storage development, to negotiate and complete land HoTs, Option and Lease agreements
To plan and manage all activities required for the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and cost and produce weekly and monthly project performance reports
To liaise with all parties involved DNO/TO, Landowners, Authorities, Planners, Consultants, EPC, ICP, Customers
Managing multiple projects from development through to and including delivery
Ability to travel to sites as and when required
Skills & Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in battery energy storage or solar project development in UK – (however would be open to a more junior individual to be trained up into the role)
Experience originating and developing transmission or distributed energy projects in the UK
Good understanding of battery energy project development
Engineering background (preferable)
