The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have partnered with a new, incredibly well financed, Battery Storage Developer, to identify a Project Delivery Director, to oversee delivery of its large-scale energy storage assets from planning submission phase through to commercial operation.

The business to date, have secured 2.5GW of Grid Connections, of a targeted 3GW within the United Kingdom for BESS Projects & have secured investment from two exceptional & well-known clean-energy funders.

The Project Delivery Director will be responsible for:

Managing all planning stakeholders from consultants to case officers, community and landowners, from planning submission through to commercial operation
Helping projects achieve FID by ensuring planning conditions achieved, securing land rights, and managing contractors/consultants as needed
Interface with development (engineers, consultants, colleagues) and delivery teams (EPC, ICP, Civils)
Construction phase contractor / EPC management including contract, quality and performance monitoring, liaising with our EPC Director
Reporting to board / investors

Knowledge & Understanding;

Large-scale HV renewables / infrastructure project development
Planning policy and process, at local and national level, across UK (Scotland and England)
Consultant (planning, studies, engineering) and Stakeholder (case officers, community, landowners) management
Construction phase contractor / EPC management
Land acquisition capability

Requirements:

Have 10+ years relevant industry experience
Come from a development, planning or construction background
Be highly self-motivated and organised and capable of working pro-actively alone
Focussed on net zero
