Job description

The green Recruitment Company is working with ​a prominent global company specialising in renewable energy projects and solutions. They operate in 16 countries across multiple continents, planning, building, and maintaining wind and solar farms, as well as hybrid energy, battery storage, and hydrogen projects. With a dedicated team of over 1,000 colleagues, they actively contribute to climate protection and sustainable energy supply. Their projects, with an annual investment of around 500 million euros, have achieved a total capacity of approximately 5 gigawatts. The company has been successfully implementing renewable energy initiatives since 1996, with expertise in site acquisition, planning, engineering, financing, construction, and operational management. They are currently seeking qualified individuals to join their renewable sales team and strengthen their presence in the market.

The Role

  • Manage the power market risks of the Group.

  • Ensure performance of trading and related reporting.

  • Development/improvement of models and pricing methodologies in close collaboration with Risk, analysts, quants , IT and the Structuring desk.

  • The Asset Backed Power Trading Team is based in Brussels and it is part of the Business Platform Power.

  • The team is in charge of managing the power market risks coming from thermal assets, hydro assets, sales (B2C/B2B) and renewables.

The Candidate

  • Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of power markets.

  • Strong analytical and programming skills: Data analysis, ability to build models.

  • Quantitative skills: Pricing, valuation methodologies, data science, statistics/machine learning.

  • Combine strong analysis with synthesis abilities and are not afraid to deal with the details.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Are rigorous, curious, eager to learn, creative, reliable and resilient to stress.

  • A study background relevant to engineering / mathematics / finance.

  • An experience as analyst or trader in Power Markets.

  • Fluent English language ability.
