With grid balancing - a crucial element to the decarbonization strategy of Energy Businesses, Utilities, TSO’s, & DSO’s - this business is in a fantastic position, offering a product suite of solutions to some already fantastic, global partners.

As the business ramps up its expansion, they are searching for a Lead Full Stack Engineer who is passionate about mentoring engineers, while still getting involved with full stack coding.

The Role

You will be working alongside the existing team of software engineers, product managers, & designers on their primary product – a grid flexibility marketplace, allowing the better and more effective integration of renewable assets (Battery Storage, Wind, Solar etc.) onto the grid.

You’ll be responsible for writing and reviewing code, as well as making improvements and developing new features in a cross-functional team environment.

This role involves both leading a team of engineers, as well as getting stuck in with coding and engineering tasks too.

Job Requirements:

• Over 5 years working experience across the some of the following tech stack:

- Python, Django, JavaScript, & VueJS

​

• Over 4 years developing modern user-focused web applications

• Experience across the entire product life-cycle – from concept to launch and maintenance

• Interest in both front and backend architecture and desire to make architectural decisions

• Experience and interest in mentoring and leading other engineers

Desirables:

• Experience with cloud-based platforms, ideally AWS

• Committed to good coding practices and continuous improvement

• Passionate about cleantech and sustainable solutions
