THE COMPANY:
Excellent opportunity to join the Milan team of a global Solar PV developer who are undergoing a significant growth phase.
The comany is now seeking an experienced Investment/Financial Analyst to help deliver the new project pipeline and support Senior team with valuation, due diligence, deal structuring and transaction execution.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience in renewable energy investment (project finance. M&A) and have excellent financial modelling skills.
THE ROLE:
Main responsibilities in the role with be:
- Preparing complex financial models to analyse project returns
- Creating new models, or new functionality within existing models, when required
- Support of due diligence processes from a legal, technical and financial point of view
- Preparation of transaction documentation and investment proposals for the management
- Market research and evaluation of external analyses
- Preparation of market reports, investment memorandums, project teasers and other documents and presentations when required
- Study the different tax and regulatory regime of the business opportunity markets/regions
- Portfolio management activities, if needed
- Supporting the preparation of projects and corporate budgets
- Closely follow industry trends and competitors, including deal flow and transactions
- Preparing and managing a virtual data room to provide investors access to due diligence materials
THE INDIVIDUAL:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a finance
- 2-4 years finance experience, preferably working for a renewable energy company (investment fund/bank) or in a role performing detailed financial analyses
- Outstanding analytical and financial modelling skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Languages: English and Italian are required, Spanish will be considered a plus
- Excellent financial modelling skills being and expert/advance user of Excel. Certain level of experience with macros and Visual Basic is a strong plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modelling techniques for project finance and assets valuations
- Project Finance and/or M&A experience of at least 2 years with focus into renewables (solar)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently (in English & Italian)
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork and independent work ethic are essential
- Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data and to manage different transactions simultaneously
- Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities
- Hard worker, flexible, with ambitious mind-set and collaborative spirit
