Joining this growing team, you will be responsible for overseeing flexibility supply projects that enable customers a route to market to monetise assets through their flex programmes. This is an engaging operational and analytical role, with both client-facing and internal responsibilities.
The ideal candidate would have both technical and asset management exposure in the energy market, particularly surrounding VPP’s, DER’s, Capacity Markets or Grid Balancing/FFR services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and conduct day-to-day operations of assets (e.g., bidding, analysis, and scheduling).
Manage market participation events and monitor performance.
Engage with customers as required and provide exceptional customer service.
Lead and support entry into new ancillary, capacity, and electricity markets.
Create performance reports, oversee client performance, and provide statistics as required.
Execute settlement processes and analysis of market revenue.
Support process improvement and ensure team documentation is up to date.
Work cross-functionally with others in the Flexibility Services team.
Collaborate with the wider team by offering asset support and expertise, producing technical material etc. as necessary.
On occasion required to work outside hours to ensure continuous and smooth operations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience surrounding grid balancing technology.
Proven knowledge and experience of the UK flexibility market & asset management.
Exposure to demand response, VPP or similar market-driven programs.
An attention to detail with strong planning and reporting skills.
Ability to work autonomously with excellent problem-solving skills.
Technical literacy with strong Excel skills and ability to learn new technologies.
Experience in Incident management and an ability to conduct oversight on key operational risks.
Strong communicator with an ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirables:
STOR, FFR and Capacity Market exposure is an advantage.
Experience with gas supply or gas system design.
BESS Experience.
