​Our firm is partnering with a well established renewables IPP that represents a portfolio of over 4GW of renewables power generation worldwide. Here on the East Coast they have an established Wind/Solar portfolio that is supported by a talented greenfield development and transactions team.

My client is seeking to engage a Finance Manager to bolster their rapidly growing team in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the Country Head of Renewable Energy, this role is responsible for delivering quality Cost control, reporting and financial support to key internal and external stakeholders in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage Project reported positions to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting standards, and alignment to company policies

• Ensure prompt billings of internal JV projects and reconciliation and assessment of non-recoverable costs

• Prepare project balance sheet reconciliations of projects and confirm recoverability of assets, and justification for liabilities.

• Assist the with internal and external audit queries for projects

• Review Project Cash Forecast submissions and validate variances

• Review payroll recharges and distribution to Projects

• Assist in the preparation of Reporting Forecast Project Reports

• Issue of Tender Cost reports to tender teams

• Reconciliation of month end cost reports, and preparation of monthly revenue recognition entries for Projects.

• Preparation of Project Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Preparation of consolidated Regional Project Performance report with updated forecasts

• Review aged Debtors and liaise with project teams to resolve issues

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualifications in CA/CPA or equivalent finance related experience

• Great understanding of project accounting practises and related business systems

• Fluency in Microsoft office suite and accounting software

• Process driven and excellent attention to detail
