​The Field Engineer supports the Project Management and Operations teams by coordinating and overseeing daily field activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements. This role serves as a key point of contact between the project team and the client, facilitating clear communication regarding project changes, technical questions, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and quality by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Coordinate daily activities among subcontractors, project personnel, and host site representatives.

• Verify field-measured quantities and confirm alignment with project progress and reporting requirements.

• Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and supplies required for daily operations meet contract requirements and design specifications.

• Develop work plans, task procedures, and execution strategies for field activities.

• Plan and coordinate upcoming work activities, leading meetings with Operations teams and client representatives as needed.

• Review and maintain as-built drawings, documenting and communicating project changes accurately.

• Manage equipment and tool calibration schedules, coordinating with the Logistics team for calibration services and equipment shipments.

• Provide field support to Quality Assurance personnel, Superintendents, and Foremen by addressing technical questions and operational challenges.

• Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and acceptable quality of incoming materials and equipment.

• Partner with the Quality Manager to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues.

• Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients and project stakeholders.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Experience supporting renewable energy projects preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and build positive working relationships.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Working Conditions

• Extensive travel required, with projects located throughout the United States.

• Regular work performed in active construction environments requiring the ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl, reach, and climb for extended periods. Exposure to elevated noise levels is expected.

• Office work may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
