​Technical & Engineering Lead South Africa

An energy company that designs, develops, finances, constructs, owns, operates, and maintains clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial companies in South Africa.

​

Requirements:

1. At least 10 years; of work experience supporting the renewable energy industry in South Africa

2. Previous experience working with an IPP, renewable energy developer, and/or large EPC.

3. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and professionally qualified (Pr. Eng.)

​

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Lead the strategic development of the engineering team

2. Recruit, build, and develop the technical and engineering capability within the team

3. Manage energy projects from inception, and financial close until construction.

4. Developing engineering processes and practices

5. Collaborate closely with the Sales, Finance, and Project Finance functions

6. Lead the development opportunities, including but not limited to:

• C&I (rooftop, carport).

• Battery storage solutions.

• Mid-scale ground-mounted solar 15MW to 50MW.

7. Support the company’s investment committee and report on all technical, and commercial engineering aspects of the projects
