Job description
The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting our client, a leading energy technology company who make renewables viable at scale, through their unique mix of making energy smarter, energy investment and energy trading.
They seek a new Energy Trading Analyst to join their Power & Risk Operations team, to establish gas and power trading market access and operational capability in various markets and perform/coordinate associated tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to work towards tight deadlines and prioritise their workload. They will be very confident in tackling unfamiliar topics & have a keen interest in taking on new responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure that the company has robust operational processes to support short term gas and power trading
Source price forecasts for industry costs and embedded benefits.
Established market accesses by gathering requirements from third party organizations and communicating these to internal departments such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT and Trading
Update process documentation.
Project manage own work and time to improve team performance
Role Requirements:
2+ years' Energy market experience in trading, operations or risk management in GB or Europe
Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Experience managing competing priorities to meet deadlines
Highly organised, numerate with strong attention to detail and project management skills
Beneficial Experience:
Physical gas trading in a European market
Interconnector and cross border capacity trading
Commodity derivatives trading
Track record in a renewable energy project development company or consulting industry
Understanding of flexible renewable assets and their optimisation
Python or other coding
