An important part of this role is managing assigned TPI’s for the Corporate Accounts team, resulting in long term partnerships with the UK and Ireland’s biggest energy consultants. Essentially this is a sales role and it is vital that the person achieves aggressive gas retention targets. 

Results will be achieved by making products and applying services adding value to the current portfolio. The successful candidate will be asked to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Meeting retention targets set against the present flex portfolio
  • Sell a large amount of flexible gas contracts to the UKs biggest energy suppliers
  • Everyday management of accounts of important customers, working alongside other teams and to solve customer enquiries to an excellent standard of external third parties
  • Add revenue and value to the current portfolio whilst guaranteeing sales targets are achieved.
  • Develop reputation for product flexibility and customer service.
  • Represent and promote the brand internally and externally at seminars and conferences.
  • Supporting the Carbon Sales channel targets and the Carbon portfolio from an account management perspective
  • Renewing complex flexible Gas and Power contracts to large and important customers.
  • Attaining new sales targets for Flexible gas & power customers.
  • Query management and resolution for TPIs and customers
  • TPI baskets and public sector of the Account Management.
  • Growing TPI Relationships
  • Working with associated account management responsibilities and Carbon Sales

  • Strong communication skills: Demonstrable ability to build long term relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) in both a written and verbal format
  • Confidence: Ability to make informed decisions, take action and deal with conflict in professional and mature manner, being diligent and dependable
  • Excellent understanding of the need to provide business solutions to drive retail’s commercial activities
  • Good Microsoft Office computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, e-mail)
  • Concern for accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines


  • Experience in a Key Account Manager role
  • Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry and its operations
  • Experience in carrying out complicated commercial negotiation
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of Industry processes and contractual obligations
  • Demonstrable energy sales experience
  • Established relationships with customers and TPIs


  • Degree level education preferable or equivalent industry experience
