Summary:

A leading Solar business based in Sydney is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take charge of the construction phase of multi-million-dollar Solar PV projects across Australia. This award-winning client has over 15 years’ experience in the Australian energy markets and are undergoing a huge period of growth. They are looking to hire a Construction Manager who has a proven track record in the construction of solar PV sites in Australia. This is a fast-paced, demanding role suitable for an ambitious professional who wants to work for a forward thinking and well-respected Australian business.

 

Candidate requirements 

As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

·        Managing the construction facets of projects from notice to proceed to handover & generation

·        Managing site supervisors

·        Providing technical Solar PV construction knowledge at construction level

·        Managing the coordination of milestone events during the construction phase

·        Preparation of the construction costs and reporting to the client

·        Monitoring of the construction costs

·        Managing and quantifying risks during the construction phase

·        Ensuring the reporting of construction progress to the relevant parties, including flagging any issues and reporting critical path updates

·        Ensuring that the Solar PV projects comply with the relevant Health and Safety legislation and environmental procedures

·        Ensuring smooth handover of the project

 

Experience, skills and education required:

·        Engineering background in a relevant subject

·        Solar PV construction experience in the Australian Solar PV sector

·        Eligibility to work in Australia

·        Leadership skills

·        Experience in the reporting of project progress

·        Experience in the management of subcontractors

·        Ability to travel
