Job description

​TGRC are working with an innovative IPP based in the UK, currently combining two flexible and efficient Renewable Energy technologies to provide on-demand energy products. The goal is to revolutionize the UK's grid landscape and focus on decarbonization, supporting the transition to a low carbon economy. With solid plans to cement their presence in the energy storage space and grow into the flex space, they now need a hands-on, commercially minded, Qualified Accountant to support the Senior Management team and Team Leads. The role will be extremely varied covering anything from supporting on M&A transactions to conducting land searches on the development side.

The role would suit a Qualified Accountant (0-5 years PQE) looking to step into a varied role with huge growth potential. Energy experience is desirable.

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)

Salary: DoE

The role:

  • Aid on acquisition processes and managing the relevant advisors

  • Support the relevant project manager on finance processes such as debt and equity raise

  • Assist with developing new opportunities which could include identifying potential sites, electrical connection agreements and obtaining Environmental permits.

  • Manage due diligence work streams

  • Liaise with financial advisers

  • Responsible for project delivery using suitable frameworks and techniques, creating standard project documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant

  • Experience with Energy Project Developer is desirable

  • Exposure to M&A is desirable

Soft skills:

  • Self-starter - ability to be proactive, establish strong working relations and willing to get involved in any aspect the project requires

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commercial acumen to partner with Team Leads, Strategy Managers, and external stakeholders

  • Able to learn quickly - this role requires a finance background but will also demand a good understanding of greenfield development in a short period of time

  • Strong project management skills, delivering excellent results on time
