Commercial Director – Energy & Infrastructure
Beijing, China (On-site)
Salary: RMB 400,000 – 450,000 per annum
The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a leading international energy and infrastructure investor to appoint a Commercial Director based in Beijing. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving commercial strategy, deal execution, and value optimisation across a portfolio of large-scale projects.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the centre of investment, development, and delivery, ensuring that projects are commercially robust from origination through to execution.
You will work closely with executive leadership to shape commercial frameworks, negotiate complex agreements, and maximise value across a growing pipeline of energy and infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of commercial strategy across projects
Structure and negotiate key commercial agreements (EPC, offtake, partnerships, financing interfaces)
Drive value optimisation across the project lifecycle, from development through to delivery
Support investment decisions through commercial analysis and risk assessment
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, contractors, and investors
Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and technical teams to ensure aligned delivery
Provide leadership and oversight to commercial teams, ensuring consistency and performance
Requirements
Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role (Commercial Director / Head of Commercial)
Background within energy, infrastructure, or large-scale project environments
Strong track record in contract negotiation and commercial structuring
Deep understanding of project economics and risk allocation
Proven ability to influence at senior stakeholder level and drive strategic outcomes
Fluent in Mandarin and English
