The Opportunity 

  • A rare opportunity to join a Renewable IPP based in the South West of the UK.

The Role

  • Maintain asset sites so we can continue to provide our customers with renewable energy at a fair price.
  • Be responsible for managing our renewable assets with duties such as managing contractors, landowners, legal and commercial agreements, dealing with lenders, and project management duties.
  • Perform regular site visits to evaluate the status and condition of our solar and wind assets.
  • Manage and apply response actions including implementing improvements as recognized.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours crises.
  • Be responsible for monitoring contractual compliance agreements by associated parties, including O&M, EPC, Grid Connection, PPA and PSA.
  • Hold parties responsible for their delivery and identify resolutions.
  • Work closely with Ofgem, FIT licensees, and third parties to submit output data and meter readings, while building and strengthening important relationships within the energy industry.
  • Report creation and project management skills are required as well as ensuring all projects comply with Health, Safety, Environment and Local Planning Authority conditions.
  • Support the Finance department with the provision of management accounts, manage asset revenue and expenditure, raise, and approve POs, processing invoices for payments.
  • Support the renewal of insurance policies and manage insurance claims.
  • Two-day office attendance with most remote working.

The Person

  • Extensive solar O&M management experience.
  • Technical understanding of renewable technology and knowledge of legal and commercial policies.
  • Ideally have a STEM degree or equivalent work experience with proven involvement in analysing data, advanced spreadsheet competences, and database skills.
  • A UK driving license is essential.
  • Strong social and communication skills with the capability to work well in a collaborative team setting.
  • Flexible in their approach to work and capable of adapting to the changing demands and conditions.
