Summary:
A leading international solar company with an impressive portfolio of projects across Australia are seeking an Asset Manager to join their growing asset team
In a brand-new role for the business, this is an exciting time to be joining a forward-thinking company with a well-established reputation both in Australia and internationally
Reporting into the Head of Asset Management, you will come from an engineering background with a strong track record of working in the solar and/or wind space in Australia. You will be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, able to make site visits/inspections and provide key asset-based information to optimise the company’s portfolio
Your responsibilities:
As Asset Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure the optimal technical and financial performance of the asset portfolio across Australia
- Hold accountability for all technical and operational issues from pre-acquisition to construction and solar plant operation
- Report on key technical KPIs by monitoring and analysing SCADA data
- Preparation of plant performance reports
- Supervising the compliance of O&M contracts
- Interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (EPC, Suppliers, & O&M,) both within Australia and internationally
- Work closely with the solar asset management division, who hold responsibility for the growth and management of the portfolio
- Support the wider team across a range of other responsibilities where required
Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:
· Engineering qualification essential (Electrical, Civil, Power Systems etc)
· Minimum 5 year’s applied engineering experience
· Utility scale Solar PV project experience in Australia
· Knowledge of SCADA and other monitoring software desirable
· Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
· Strong communicator who can manage and negotiate with various stakeholders
· Ability to travel once per month to site across Australia
· Eligibility to live and work in Australia
