​A leading renewable energy developer, owner, and operator is recruiting for a Site Engineer to support the delivery of a utility-scale Solar PV and BESS project in South Africa. This is an owner’s team role focused on site execution, contractor management, QA/QC oversight, progress tracking, reporting, and technical coordination during construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee site engineering and construction activities

• Monitor EPC contractor performance against project requirements and schedule

• Coordinate inspections, testing, QA/QC processes, and site documentation

• Track project progress, risks, delays, and corrective actions

• Support design implementation and variation management

• Prepare site reports and progress updates

• Coordinate between contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with technical standards and contractual requirements

Requirements:

• Engineering degree (Electrical preferred)

• 5+ years’ experience on utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects

• Experience working on the owner’s side and/or with EPC contractors

• Construction and/or commissioning experience

• QA/QC and grid compliance experience

• Knowledge of MV/HV systems, substations, SCADA, Solar PV, and BESS

• Strong reporting and stakeholder coordination skills

• Eligible to work in South Africa
