Senior PPA Structurer

Job description

We are a leading renewable energy IPP focused on accelerating the transition to a low-carbon energy system. Our work spans the development, financing, and optimisation of large-scale renewable assets, with a strong emphasis on commercial creativity and value realisation through structured power agreements.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior PPA Structurer to join our Origination & Markets function. This is a key commercial role, central to delivering value across a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects. As a senior member of the structuring team, you will take ownership of end-to-end transaction execution, leading Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Flexibility Purchase Agreement (FPA) deals from initial concept through to contract signature.

You will work closely with origination teams and act as the central coordinator across internal functions and external stakeholders, ensuring transactions are commercially robust, well-structured, and executed efficiently. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, with an expectation to independently drive complex transactions and contribute to the ongoing development of structuring and pricing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structuring and negotiation of PPA and FPA transactions across multiple markets

  • Partner closely with origination teams and act as a key interface with customers

  • Manage entire deal processes, coordinating internal stakeholders and external counterparties

  • Develop and negotiate commercial documentation, including term sheets and long-form agreements

  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs across legal, technical, finance, investment, and market intelligence teams

  • Manage external advisors such as brokers, consultants, and legal counsel

  • Oversee due diligence processes related to commercial agreements

  • Lead negotiation of key transaction documents, including:

  • Memoranda of Understanding (MoU)

  • Term sheets and exclusivity agreements

  • Long-form PPAs and FPAs

  • Guarantees of Origin (GoO) agreements

  • Engage directly with corporate offtakers, utilities, investors, and partners in international markets

Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (postgraduate preferred)

  • 5+ years’ experience in PPA structuring, pricing, or negotiations

  • Demonstrated track record of closing multiple structured energy transactions

  • Strong knowledge of European power markets and commercial deal frameworks

  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills

  • Solid understanding of how revenue contracts impact project economics and risk profiles

  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a strong commercial mindset

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage

  • Willingness to travel internationally
