​We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client, a growing business based in Berlin, for an experienced (Senior) Accountant to join their finance function.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Reporting

• Preparation of year-end financial statements

• Managing the audit process and acting as the key contact for auditors

• Recording invoices and transactions in accounting software

• Processing monthly credit card statements and travel expense reports

Taxation

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns

• Preparation of CIT and trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) returns in cooperation with the external tax advisor

Payroll

• Coordinating with the external payroll provider and managing document flow

• Liaising between HR and the external payroll accountant

• Reviewing payroll documents and wage tax accounts; coordinating with the internal payments team

YOUR PROFILE

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role in Germany

• Strong knowledge of HGB, VAT and payroll processes

• Fluent German; English is a plus

• Structured, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
