Onshore Wind | Turbine Service | South Korea

TGRC is seeking experienced Onshore Wind Service Technicians to support wind turbine service, maintenance and operational activities across South Korea.

This is an excellent opportunity for technicians with strong mechanical, electrical or wind turbine service experience to join a growing onshore wind market, supporting the safe and efficient performance of utility-scale wind assets.

The role would suit a hands-on technician with experience working on wind turbines, rotating equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, or mechanical plant, ideally with previous exposure to OEM turbine environments.

The Role

As an Onshore Wind Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on operational wind turbines, helping to maximise turbine availability, performance and safety.

You will work as part of a site-based service team, supporting troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, component replacement and routine maintenance activities in line with OEM standards and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Maintenance

Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on onshore wind turbines.

Support turbine inspections, fault finding, repairs and component replacement.

Assist with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting activities.

Work safely at height within turbine nacelles, towers and hub areas.

Complete service documentation, inspection records and work reports accurately.

Site Operations

Support daily site activities in line with operational plans and safety requirements.

Work closely with supervisors, lead technicians and site management teams.

Identify technical issues and escalate defects or repeat faults where required.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for turbine faults.

Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to the required standard.

Health, Safety & Quality

Follow all site safety procedures, permit-to-work systems and risk assessments.

Ensure work is completed in line with OEM procedures and quality standards.

Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and daily planning meetings.

Promote a strong safety culture across all turbine service activities.

Requirements

Previous experience in wind turbine service, maintenance, installation or commissioning.

Strong mechanical, electrical or electromechanical background.

Experience working at height, ideally within wind turbine environments.

Understanding of turbine systems, including hydraulics, pitch systems, yaw systems, generators, converters or control systems.

Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and service instructions.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working in remote site environments and changing weather conditions.

Valid driving licence preferred.

Korean language skills required; English language skills would be advantageous for working with international OEM teams.

Preferred Qualifications

GWO Basic Safety Training.

Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid and Fire Awareness.

Electrical, mechanical or renewable energy qualification.

Previous experience with major wind turbine OEM platforms would be highly desirable.

High voltage awareness or authorisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
