Job description
The Green Recruitment Company partnered with a fast-growing renewable energy developer and independent power producer (IPP) headquartered in Hamburg, active across the full project lifecycle, from land acquisition and development through to long-term asset ownership and management. About the Role
As a Technical Asset Manager, you will take ownership of the operational phase management of renewable energy assets, ensuring technical performance, compliance, and optimisation across a growing portfolio. You will act as a key interface between internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing both to day-to-day asset oversight and to the continuous improvement of internal processes and standards.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical point of contact for internal teams (development, EPC, financing, commercial asset management) and external stakeholders (grid operators, O&M providers, contractors, insurers, authorities, and market participants)
Ensure high technical performance and availability of assets through:
O&M monitoring
Site inspections
Performance analysis and optimisation initiatives
Oversee compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements (HSE)
Support claims and warranty management, including coordination of insurance and defect-related cases
Review and approve technical documentation and invoices, and contribute to regular reporting
Manage and coordinate external service providers and consultants
Contribute to the development and optimisation of internal processes, tools, and standards for technical asset management
Qualifications
~5+ years’ experience in technical asset management or operations of energy / infrastructure assets
Strong exposure to solar PV and/or battery storage systems (BESS)
Solid understanding of:
Technical asset performance and O&M structures
HSE and regulatory compliance
Contract and stakeholder management
Background in engineering or a related technical discipline (e.g. electrical, civil, renewable energy)
Comfortable working across technical, commercial, and operational interfaces
Strong ownership mindset, decision-making ability, and collaborative working style
Interest in digitalisation, automation, and performance optimisation tools
Fluent German (Minimum C1 level required)
