​The Green Recruitment Company is working with a fast-growing international clean energy scale-up that is expanding its service team in Germany.

The business specialises in mobile battery systems and sustainable temporary power solutions, helping customers reduce reliance on traditional diesel generators. This is a hands-on field-based position with real ownership, visibility and impact as the company continues to grow its German operations.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring mobile battery systems are safely commissioned, maintained, troubleshooted and perform reliably across customer sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Commissioning and decommissioning mobile battery systems on-site

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance

• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and technical issues

• Supporting the deployment and integration of battery solutions at client locations

• Acting as a first point of contact for German-speaking customers

• Handling incoming service requests and coordinating follow-up actions

• Participating in an on-call / standby rota, with additional compensation

• Collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Sales and international service teams

• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with German standards, internal procedures and customer requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical, electrical, field service or customer-facing engineering role

• Strong electrical knowledge and experience troubleshooting complex installations

• Experience with battery systems, power electronics, temporary power, generators, EV charging, PV, renewable energy or energy storage would be highly advantageous

• A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset

• The ability to work independently in a field-based role

• A safety-conscious and customer-focused approach

• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany

• A valid driving licence

• Fluent German, written and spoken

• Professional English for collaboration with international colleagues
