Senior Grid Connection Manager

​A leading international renewable energy company is seeking a Senior Grid Connection Manager to join its growing team in Germany. With a global portfolio exceeding 18GW, the business is a recognised leader in the development and operation of large-scale wind and solar energy projects worldwide. As part of its continued expansion in Germany, the company is building a strong pipeline of PV + BESS and stand-alone BESS projects and is now looking to strengthen its project delivery team with a key technical hire.

The Senior Grid Connection Manager will play a critical role in supporting the grid connection process across a portfolio of utility-scale projects. Working closely with the wider project development team, this person will take ownership of the technical and electrical engineering aspects of grid connection, managing relationships and communication with TSOs and DSOs, and ensuring projects progress efficiently through key development milestones.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the technical grid connection strategy for utility-scale renewable energy projects

  • Managing all electrical engineering aspects related to grid integration

  • Acting as the key interface with TSOs, DSOs, and external technical stakeholders

  • Supporting project development teams to ensure timely project progression

  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the development lifecycle

Ideal profile:
  • Strong experience in grid connection, electrical engineering, or technical project management

  • Background in renewable energy, ideally within solar, BESS, or wind

  • Strong understanding of the German energy market and grid connection processes

  • Proactive, delivery-focused, and able to drive projects independently

  • Minimum C1 German fluency
