​Our client is a leading international renewable energy investment platform with a strong track record in developing, investing in, and managing energy transition assets globally. With an established presence in Japan and active investments in utility-scale BESS, the company is expanding its local investment team to support continued growth across the Japanese energy market.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis and investment assessments for energy infrastructure opportunities.

• Build and maintain detailed valuation and project finance models, support investment committee processes and investment decision-making.

• Support capital raising initiatives and investor engagement activities, prepare investment presentations, marketing materials, and due diligence documentation.

• Participate in discussions with institutional investors, strategic partners, and financial stakeholders.

• Monitor developments across Japan's energy transition sector, including battery storage and related infrastructure.

• Assess regulatory, commercial, and market developments impacting investment opportunities.

• Coordinate technical, commercial, legal, and financial due diligence processes.

• Analyze third-party reports and provide investment recommendations, support negotiations and transaction execution activities.

• Maintain relationships with existing investors and strategic partners, assist with investor reporting, portfolio updates, and information requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure investing, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or a related field.

• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.

• Solid understanding of project finance, cash flow modelling, and investment analysis.

• Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power markets, or energy storage is highly desirable.

• Native-level Japanese language capabilies.

• Strong commercial judgement, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

• Passion for energy transition, infrastructure investing, and sustainable development.
