Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Are you an experienced Safety Officer with a passion for maintaining the highest health and safety standards on construction and electrical projects? We are seeking a proactive and suitably qualified professional to join a dynamic project team operating within the energy and infrastructure sector in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and maintain project health and safety systems in line with South African legislation and industry best practices.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
Support compliance with the Construction Regulations, 2014.
Perform site inspections, audits, and safety monitoring activities.
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Promote a strong safety culture across all project stakeholders.
Maintain accurate health and safety records and reporting documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Registered with SACPCMP in an appropriate category for Health and Safety Officer appointments.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Officer on construction projects and/or within an electrical working environment.
SAMTRAC qualification or equivalent health and safety certification.
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining a Health and Safety Management System aligned with the Construction Regulations, 2014.
Proven knowledge and practical experience in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) processes.
Experience conducting incident investigations, including causation analysis and corrective action implementation.
Valid Code B (light motor vehicle) driver's licence.
Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
