WTG Technician – Onshore Wind (Contract)

Location: Northumberland, UK
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Day Rate: £450

TGRC Inc., a premier recruitment agency in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled WTG Technician for our client's onshore wind operations in Northumberland. This is a 12-month contract opportunity designed for driven professionals committed to advancing sustainable energy technologies.

Role Overview: The WTG Technician will be pivotal in performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on wind turbine generators (WTGs). This role requires rigorous adherence to safety and environmental standards, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency of the wind turbines.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on WTGs.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system malfunctions.

  • Maintaining detailed records of technical data and operational activities.

  • Complying with all safety guidelines and environmental regulations.

  • Working collaboratively with site teams to ensure turbine efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a WTG Technician or similar role within the wind power industry.

  • Technical certification or degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field.

  • Comprehensive understanding of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under challenging conditions.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
