Job title: Scada & Integration Engineer
Location: United States (Remote)
Are you a talented SCADA / Instrumentation and Control System Engineer looking for a dynamic opportunity in the renewables sector? We are partnering with a leading renewables business to find a skilled professional to join their team.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Academic Excellence:
ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in instrumentation/electrical engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent Certification preferred.
2. Experience Matters:
Over 5 years of hands-on experience as a SCADA / Instrumentation and Control System Engineer.
2+ years preferred, specifically in electric grid energy management systems or similar.
3. Specialized Knowledge:
Familiarity with battery energy storage design and technical standards is preferred.
Experience with substation design and transmission-level power system protection is a plus.
4. Standards Expert:
Knowledge of instrumentation and control standards from IEEE, ISA, ANSI, and IEC organizations.
5. Cybersecurity Savvy:
Familiarity with cybersecurity practices required by industrial control systems of renewable generation plants.
6. Project Leadership:
Extensive knowledge of Instrumentation and Control systems for renewable projects.
Ability to supervise engineering design and support the commissioning of facilities.
7. Technology Proficiency:
Experience with DAQ (Data Acquisition), RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), IED (Intelligent Electronic Device), and PLC technologies.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365.
8. Communication Skills:
Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, maintaining composure in stressful situations.
9. Flexibility and Travel:
Openness to change based on diverse input and feedback.
Willingness to be remotely based and travel up to 25% to project sites.
10. Team Player:
Demonstrated strong teamwork orientation, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
Strong time management and analytical skills.
