About the Company

Our client is a prominent international NGO dedicated to advancing global environmental conservation and sustainable practices. They are seeking a Corporate Communications Director to lead their communications strategy and enhance their public profile from their Beijing office.

Position Overview

The Corporate Communications Director will develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals. This role is crucial in managing the NGO’s external and internal communication, enhancing media relations, and increasing engagement with stakeholders and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy to increase the organization's visibility and influence on environmental issues globally.

  • Lead public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and content development for various communication channels.

  • Manage the brand and oversee the production of promotional materials and publications.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and to promote key initiatives and campaigns.

  • Oversee crisis communications and provide guidance on potential risks in public and media relations.

  • Manage and mentor a communications team to ensure excellence in all aspects of communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in a communications leadership role, ideally within an NGO or a related sector focused on environmental issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies.

  • Strong media relations skills and a proven track record in enhancing an organization’s media profile.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

  • Leadership qualities with an ability to manage and inspire a team.
